KENDA
Budds Creek

From our experience with the Kenda Carlsbad we thought we’d be clever and run a higher tire pressure from the outset of the test. We started with 18 psi for the front and 15 for the rear. While this seemed like a good idea, it really wasn’t. Each tire is very different and requires its own “ideal” pressure. After letting some air out to 13 and 10 psi things started going much better. The grip was there, tons of grip, the front inspired hard braking while the rear asked to roll turns faster. The rear gripped so well that on occasion it gripped too well, letting the front wheel come up instead of spinningthe rear. We think an excellent combo would be the KENDA Carlsbad on the rear for durability and the KENDA Buds Creek with the soft compound on the front for traction. The Buds Creek worked very well on trails but due to its soft compound might not be the best choice for longevity.
