Nissan first introduced the Frontier truck line to the US in 2000 as the successor to the very popular Nissan Hardbody. For 2009 the Frontier only gets a few changes, a new front fascia grille, new headlight design and 16/18 inch wheels. Nissan has also renamed the Nismo off-road package the PRO-4X and it gets 16 inch machine-finished aluminum alloy wheels, Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, an electronic locking differential, skid plates, fog lights, stability control and hill-descent control.
The 2009 Frontier is offered in both King Cab (2 full door and 2 compact) and Crew Cab (4 full door) body styles. These are offered in 4×2 and 4×4 drive line configurations. Available options and packages include the XE Preferred Package, SE Power Package, Value Truck Package (SE, LE and PRO-4X only), Moon roof Package (Crew Cab only), Side & Curtain Air Bag Package, Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), Technology Package and Traction Package (4×4 AT only). Aux Jack, XM Radio pre wiring, WMA/ MP3, Blue Tooth/ Hands Free capability on LE and PRO-4X Models. Available to you in no less than 8 different colors!
Essentially the Frontier is available in 10 trims, ranging from the SE 4X2 to the LE 4X4 LWB with prices ranging from $22,210 to $29,740.
