Props!
Props
this issue goes to Ron "Boots" Feather and his family.
Who seems to know no end to their generosity and kindness. Ron
opened his doors to the EDM wrecking crew so we could do a story
on Pit Bikes. While that in itself is nothing to be giving props
for. It is the way he did it that was exemplary. He didn't just
arrange some bikes for us to ride, he literally opened his doors
and let us stay with him.
We
got a late start on Friday leaving the EDM offices and had 6
hrs of driving to get to the 2UP compound. We should have arrived
at midnight. After major traffic added 2 additional hours to
our drive we found ourselves rolling in at 2 am. Ron was there
with a smile on his face. One look at the photo to the right
will tell you we were glad to see the smile!
He
welcomed us into his home and after a few minutes of hellos
we promptly fell asleep, four guys in sleeping bags on his living
room floor. Most people I know wouldn't be this cool to family!
The crazy thing is there were two other guys asleep on his couch!
So we know he wasn't doing this because we were doing a story.
In the morning we were awakened by the wonderful sounds of his
wife, Melissa in the kitchen fixing coffee and breakfast and
the buzz of his children waking up.
While
we were out riding and playing with the bikes Melissa went to
the local sandwich shop and returned with a huge platter of
sandwiches for us to consume. I guess what I'm trying to say
is we had a fantastic time and the kindness was truly appreciated!
Thanks
for being fantastic people!
