EDM:  I just want to get to a couple quick question out of the way. When is your birthday?
VE:  5-22-62
EDM: How old were you when you started riding?
VE:  I was 13 when I first started racing motocross.
EDM:  Your first race was a motocross race?  Was it here on the east coast?
VE:  Yup actually it was at Shelby fairgrounds
EDM:  Oh you’re kidding… that track is not there anymore is it
VE:  No its gone, well the thing was, it was gone.  They had the races there when I was 13 and then they were gone forever and then Joe Williams brought it back you know, and it was kind of weird.
EDM:  This is JMX right?
VE:  Yeah it was in the same place until this year he lost it
EDM: Do you have a favorite bike?
VE: Not really
EDM:  So whatever is under you is your favorite
VE:  Yeah I adjust really really well.  I have ridden everykind of bike…
EDM: Do you have a suspension set up you prefer?
VE:  I prefer stiff set up. It’s typical because all the tracks are fast enough now you can adjust it for little stuff like the roots and then the rest of it is just like riding an outdoor motocross track out in the woods
EDM:  What is your favorite obstacle?
VE:  I like jumping… I’m not that good at it but I like doing it.
EDM: Isn't it unusual if you ride on trails that there are jumps?
VE:  Well see that’s the thing if there is a creek jump or something or banks I just love it jumping over the creeks?
