When we go riding for work, we often have to bring two or three bikes, two or three sets of boots, a pile of moto gear, a variety of helmets, camera gear, chairs, tools... the list goes on and on. Packing the vehicle for a simple day of riding is like packing for a 3 month holiday in Europe. You wind up bringing everything because you never know what you will need. When we have to cram all of this into a small truck it makes a trip to the track more of a PIA than anything else, and a lot less fun.

The cargo area of the 3500 is like a one car garage. With 473 cubic feet of space, we could easily fit three guys and all their gear and have room left over. In addition to Sprinter's impressive cargo carrying capability, there's something else it carries better than most—its value, the Sprinter is projected to hold its resale value better than full-size Ford and GM vans. Our sprinter came equipped with options that added $6395.00 to the price tag, $1,720 of which went to the extended roof. If you are in the market for a van, be sure to take a good look at the sprinter. It really is a fantastic solution to the problem of transporting your bike to the track.

What we liked:
  • tons of room in the cargo area and ample storage in the cab.
  • Van felt and drove like a luxury car.
  • 5,000 lbs cargo capacity

What we didn’t like:

  • Cargo/ Cab divider made it impossible to recline seats when located farthest from the steering wheel
  • Door locks could not be opened without the key and it had to be removed from the ignition to function.

As tested our Sprinter is $44,455.00
