Team Trick Tank Scores Big In Greensboro

Team Trick Tank/Red Line Oil/Innova Tire/ X-Treme Clean riders Jake Gilbertson, Justin Hopson, Tate Barr and Jim Chester continued their winning ways at the Feld Entertainment Monster Energy Drink AMA Arenacross series Sunday at the Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum.

Gilbertson was the star of the show as he dominated the 85cc class by winning his heat race and the main event that put him solidly in first place in the points chase. Gilbertson also claimed second in the ultra-competitive Super Mini class which also puts him in the points lead for the class.

Hopson did well for himself since turning Pro this year and rode to a 12th in the AX Lites class on Saturday night and claimed a 15th in the Expert main event on Sunday.

Jim Chester returned to the indoor circuit for the first time this year and picked up right where he left off by winning all three main events he entered, Over 25, Over 30 and 0ver 35 for a clean sweep of the senior classes.

Tate Barr had a good showing riding to a second place finish in the Collegeboy main event, a fifth in AX Intermediate and an eighth in AX Lites to cap off the weekend for Team Trick Tank.

After having raced the past five consecutive weekends the team will now have a month off before their next Arenacross in Wilkes Barre, Pa. on March 13-15 and will spend the time practicing at the team’s training facility to prepare for the Eastern region finale.
