Lever Saver

Here’s a way to make your levers less likely to break if you get off.

Take Teflon tape, the kind used to wrap the threads of pipe fittings. You can get it at your local hardware store for about 1 dollar. Remove your brake lever and wrap your bar a few times with the Teflon tape. Re-install the lever and tighten it so it will turn when you apply force. Repeat for the clutch lever and the next time you fall the lever will spin on your bar instead of breaking or bending. Just remember to make the levers tight enough so they don’t spin while riding!
