MA/Maxxis National EnduroCross Series to Award AMA Championship #1 Plates For Its Amateurs

Los Angeles, CA (July 16, 2007) Pro-Motion Motorsports announced today that the AMA/Maxxis National EnduroCross Series, presented by Moose Racing, FMF Racing, Geico Insurance and Monster Energy Drink, will award an AMA Number One plate to each amateur class winner of the series.
There will also be a Number One plate awarded to the top Expert rider in the series who will be crowned the National EnduroCross Champion.

"We are very excited to award the amateur riders of our series with an AMA number one plate," claims Eric Peronnard, co-promoter of the series.
"This is a great opportunity to recognize the top riders in each class.
We know the riders work very hard to train for the EnduroCross races - so this will provide an extra reward for their efforts."

The three race series starts in Denver on Saturday, September 29. Round two is in Oklahoma on Saturday, October 6th. The Las Vegas weekend will operate very similarly to the 2006 event - there will be a Qualifier Round on Friday, November 16 with the Championship final round taking place the following night, Saturday, November 17. Scoring for each race will be similar to that of an AMA supercross with points earned based upon the riders finishing position. The Las Vegas round will serve as a Double Points event. In addition, there is $40,000 purse that will be paid out over the three events.

"EnduroCross is not only one of the newest forms of motorcycle racing, but is also one of the most exciting," commented Chuck Weir, AMA National Off-Road Race Manager. "Anytime you put the top off-road riders in the world inside an arena in front of thousands of fans, you can expect to see great racing action. We plan to recognize all the EnduroCross class champions at our annual AMA Sports banquet and provide them with a number one plate."
