On The Pipe 5 – Film Review

By Dallas Earwood, 9/22/2010

Powerband films have done it again with On The Pipe 5.  A tribute to the late Jeremy Lusk, On The Pipe 5 is a must see.  Turn it up to eleven, because OTP5 serves up some amazing cinematography with a soundtrack to match.

Opening with one of the most talented riders in the world, Josh Grant slays X-Games, gnarly dunes and of course, some huge whips. With an impressive lineup including some of the top FMX riders in the world like Beau Bamberg, Mike Mason, Drake McElroy and Adam Jones be prepared for some huge dirt to dirt freestyle doubles aka the “dump jumps”. Keeping with the flow of other OTP movies the action never stops and OTP5 keeps things rolling with plenty of racing footage from the fastest guys on the planet including Ryan Villopoto, James “Bubba” Stewart and the “GOAT” Ricky Carmichael.

Never forgetting the roots of motocross, freeriding plays a big part in film and going big is what its all about. Ronnie Renner shows how its done while making world records at the Red Bull Experiment. Renner isn’t the only one making history though as Robbie Maddison has his own Red Bull No Limit New Year’s step up AND step down records. Pushing the limits as always, Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg pulls off 100 foot natural terrain flips with ease and shows everyone how its done.

With effortless style, huge tricks and great personality Jeremy Lusk proved that hard work and dedication can pay off.

Ride In Peace.
