Three races into the GNCC Series and Team FMF Suzuki Off Road has stayed consistent by finishing on the podium in every event. In the GNCC opener Jimmy Jarrett scored for FMF/Suzuki with an impressive second place finish. In round two it was Charlie Mullins turn when he stepped up to the top of the podium and won the event overall. And in round three at the North Carolina GNCC it was Paul Whibley’s turn on the box with a third place finish on the RM-Z450 EFI. In fact, it was a good weekend for Team FMF Suzuki Off Road with the boy’s in yellow going 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th overall.
Whibley’s third place shows that the youngster is learning what it takes to run up front in the GNCC Series. In fact, so far this season in three races and Paul has finished 5th, 4th and now 3rd on the new RM-Z450 EFI.
Jarrett stayed strong in North Carolina with a fifth place finish that earned him enough points to stay tied for second in the GNCC Championship with 57. Mullins sits right behind Jarrett with 56 points and Whibley’s third place finish gives him a total of 55 points so far this season. This leaves three FMF Suzuki Off Road Team riders in the GNCC title hunt after three of 13 rounds.
All the guys are headed to the OMA opener next week and then it’s back to the GNCC in South Carolina after that.
