Thor Brings Ben Townley to Loretta's

Honda Red Bull’s Ben Townley will be making the trek to Hurricane Mills, Tenn. to sign autographs at the Parts Unlimited/Thor pavilion during the 2008 AMA Air Nautiques Amateur National Championship Finals taking place July 28 through August 2.

“We are very pleased to have Ben joining us at Loretta Lynn’s,” said Thor Motorsports Manager Hylton Beattie. “Thor is proud to have a World Champion and AMA Supercross Champion take the time to watch our future stars. Ben has always been there for Thor and he sets a great example for the younger riders.”

Townley is the charismatic Honda Red Bull Racing rider from New Zealand. He is the 2004 FIM MX2 World Motocross Champion, as well as the 2007 AMA Supercross Champion, in the East Region Lites. He moved to America in 2006, joining the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team before switching to Honda when he moved up to the premier 450 class. The Kiwi, known as “BT101,” now resides in Tallahassee, Fla., and is backed by Thor MX/Parts Unlimited.

Townley will be on hand Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday July 30. Racing begins at Loretta Lynn’s on July 29 and completes August 2.
